Donny Deutsch: Content in Context

Donny Deutsch will participate in the opening keynote Q&A on the first day of the conference. Donny Deutsch, one of the industry’s most well-known media moguls, is now creator, executive producer and star of USA Network’s highly anticipated comedic scripted series, Donny! Premiering on November 10th, Donny! takes a satirical look at the media, wealth and modern romance all through the eyes of Deutsch’s fictionalized character, which is based on the real-life famed ad man, single dad and TV personality.

No stranger to the small screen, Deutsch was previously the host of the long running CNBC talk show “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch” and is currently a regular on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” Deutsch has penned two business motivation books, “Often Wrong, Never in Doubt” and “THE BIG IDEA: How to Make Your Entrepreneurial Dreams Come True from the AHA Moment to Your First Million.” Deutsch is also Chairman Emeritus of Deutsch Inc., one of the world’s leading advertising agencies.

Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein: Going Deep With Syndication Powerhouse Debmar-Mercury

Debmar-Mercury Co-Presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein sit down with media mogul, entrepreneur, performer and best-selling author Wendy Williams, executive producer and host of their hit talker The Wendy Williams Show, for a Q&A focusing on current trends and issues facing network, cable and ancillary markets, what’s selling now and what’s going to be next.

The industry veterans are the force behind many successful and innovative series, including the Steve Harvey-hosted Family Feud, the top-rated game show their company distributes for FremantleMedia North America. They built a syndication powerhouse, now a part of Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF), a leading global entertainment company, following their highly successful off-net launch of South Park more than a decade ago when they merged their two companies.

Previously, Bernstein served as president of worldwide television distribution for Lionsgate Entertainment and president of domestic television distribution for Rysher Entertainment, Cox Enterprise’s production and distribution studio division, among others. Marcus formerly served as president of Disney’s syndication unit, Buena Vista Television, and held other high-level industry posts.

Prior to becoming a staple on daytime TV, Williams established her media credentials through her 23-year career as one of radio’s top personalities. Her Emmy nominated show focuses on entertainment and pop cultures, bringing these topics to life with William’s “Say it Like You Mean It”, her take on the juiciest celebrity headlines portion of her signature Hot Topics segment.
